Ingredients
Meat and Aromatics

minced garlic
Canned Tomatoes and Puree

tomato puree (29 ounces each)

cans
diced tomatoes, with juice (14.5 ounces each)

salt

teaspoons
lemon juice

tablespoons
olive oil

teaspoons
dried oregano
2
teaspoons
dried basil

teaspoon
dried thyme leaves

teaspoon
crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
In a large saucepan, brown the ground beef with minced garlic. Drain excess fat.
Add the tomato puree, diced tomatoes, salt, lemon juice, olive oil, oregano, basil, thyme, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a low boil and stir.
Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve immediately over pasta, or cool and store in freezer-safe containers.
Notes
For a richer flavor, simmer longer or add fresh herbs.
